Routines (Sønder Boulevard), 2008

Installation, video and poster series

Commissioned by U-Turn the first quadrennial for contemporary art in Copenhagen, Denmark (September 5 – November 9, 2008) the artist produced an installation and a series of ten posters based on the routines of people living in the neighborhood near Sønder Boulevard a central street in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Prior to the opening of U-Turn, Mads spent four weeks observing the routines taking place in the area around Sønder Boulevard, Copenhagen. Like a private investigator Mads took notes, and made drawings based on his observations, which he used to produce ten posters of the different routines that he discovered in the neighborhood.
