Cynthia Connolly is a photographer who has for two decades sought to document the American landscape, to render what makes the people, place and things in them true and unique before things change and it's too late. She has also striven to seek out art and build its community throughout the entirety of her career. She grew up in Los Angeles, where the view from the passenger seat of a car was permanently etched in her mind. She continues, now living in Arlington, Virginia to find and document the view from the passenger seat of a car. She works as an artist, plays the banjo, and is the Director and Curator of the Ellipse Arts Center in Arlington, Virginia.
